Dynamic Compaction
The process begins with site establishment, setting out the impact grid, and selecting the appropriate pounder weight and drop height to achieve the required compaction energy. The crane then performs a series of controlled drops at predetermined locations, transmitting energy deep into the ground to collapse voids and increase soil density.
Following the primary high-energy pass, craters are backfilled and additional passes are completed to refine compaction. A final Ironing Pass using a large-area pounder densifies the upper layer and creates a uniform working surface.
Dynamic compaction enables construction over ground that would otherwise require excavation and replacement or deep foundation systems.

Mining & Industrial Applications
Dynamic compaction is one of the most cost-effective and high-impact ground improvement techniques for large areas of loose or uncontrolled fill. DGSA’s advanced equipment, high-energy pounding systems, precision impact layouts, and detailed settlement monitoring deliver reliable, high-performance ground improvement outcomes across a wide range of projects.
